FORGIVENESS


Lk 23:32 Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. Lk 23:33 When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Lk 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

LET’S GET PERSONAL

- We sin not because of a lack of _______________, but because of a lack of _______________ in our hearts.

“FATHER, FORGIVE THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW
EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING!”

Mt 18:21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Mt 18:22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Eph 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Eph 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children Eph 5:2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Do you truly know the extent to which you have been forgiven, and the price that was paid for your forgiveness? _________________________________

Are you offering forgiveness the same way that you have received forgiveness? ___________________________________________________

Pray: God, I praise You for delivering me from my past and making me a new creation in Jesus Christ. I pray that You will help me open my eyes to the full extent of Your forgiveness. Give me the vision to follow You as my guide as You continue making me new every day. Amen.
