Thirst

THIRST
Jn 19:28 Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” Jn 19:29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips.

• THERE IS A SPIRITUAL _______________ ALL AROUND US.

Lk 19:41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it Lk 19:42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.

• EVERYWHERE JESUS _______________, HE _______________ ON PURPOSE.
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Ps 69:21 They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst.

Ps 49:15 But God will redeem my life from the grave; he will surely take me to himself.

• WE THRIST AND ARE _______________ BECAUSE WE DRINK FROM THE WRONG WELL.
Jn 4:10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”Jn 4:11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?

• IN HIS _______________, JESUS RELEASED THE GREATEST ANOINTING OF HIS LIFE.
Heb 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Heb 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
